ALL HOWARDS TREASURES ARE GENUINE & AUTHENTIC AND OFFERED EXACTLY AS DISCOVERED. A charming Art Deco Mantle clock with dual chimes, Westminster & Whittington. The clock is of typical Art Deco style with a chrome bezel and chrome decoration (2 chrome strips & 2 chrome balls). It is of a Walnut style finish with different shades of banding on the front (please see photographs). It has a lovely Vintage crazed effect to the patina on the front. The clock has two different types of chimes these can be selected by the lever by the number 3, using this lever you can also select silent chimes (this stops the clock chiming). The clock strikes the quarters and the hours, the numbers and fingers look like a matt gold colour and has three chrome inserts around the winding holes. The brass movement is stamped -‘Haller, Foreign, Y, T, 12CM 190-66. The clock measures approx. 24.5cm high x 37.5cm wide x 15.5cm deep and weighs approx. The clock can be regulated by screwing the pendulum up to run faster or down to run slower. This clock, along with others have grown temperamental with age so once in a permanent position the pendulum can be simply hooked onto its suspension and in beat (clock levelled) will happily run very well. Its best not to move the clock far whilst the pendulum is hanging on the suspension, remove when moving far. The clock is in very good vintage condition, just a couple of marks (please see photographs) and has been running well and keeping good time, the clock should run for approx.
